Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Departure

Departure from your home country to Ethiopia.

Day 2

Arrival & Addis City Tour

Transfer to hotel for rest. 2 PM city tour including Entoto Hill, Entoto Maryam Church, and National Museum. Overnight at hotel in Addis Ababa.

Day 3–4

Lalibela

Early morning flight to Lalibela, explore first sector of rock-hewn churches. Next day: hike Asheton Maryam Monastery, afternoon visit to second sector of rock churches. Overnight in Lalibela .

Day 5

Drive to Gondar

Drive to Gondar, overnight in Gondar.

Day 6

Gondar & Semien Mountains

Morning visit to Royal Enclosure, drive to Semien National Park, hike to Sankaber Camp. Overnight camping.

Day 7–10

Semien Mountains Trekking

Trekking highlights: Geech Camp, Imet Gogo (3926m), Saha (3785m), Kedadit (3760m), Chennek Camp, optional Bwahit climb. Observe gelada monkeys and breathtaking highland landscapes. Full-board camping included.

Day 11

Drive to Axum

Pick up at Chennek, transfer to Axum. Overnight hotel.

Day 12

Axum City Tour

Explore Queen of Sheba’s palace, Stelae Field, Cathedral of St. Mary of Zion, and tombs. Overnight in Axum.

Day 13

Wukro via Adigrat & Abraham Zion Church

Lunch en route, hike to Abraham Zion Church, continue to Wukro. Overnight in Wukro.

Day 14

Wukro & Hamed Ela

Morning church visit, drive to Hamed Ela. Overnight camping.

Day 15

Danakil Adventure

Visit Dallol and Lake Assale, return to Hamed Ela, drive to palm tree area. Overnight camping.

Day 16

Erta Ale Volcano

Cross the desert, drive to Dodom. Late afternoon climb Erta Ale, overnight on the volcano in huts.

Day 17

Lake Afrera & Logia

Sunrise descent from Erta Ale, visit lake and hot springs. Drive to Logia, overnight local hotel.

Day 18

Awash National Park

Drive to Awash, overnight camping.

Day 19

Awash Falls & Return to Addis

Morning walk to Awash Falls, game drive. Stop at Debre Zeyit for lunch and last souvenir shopping in Addis. Evening transfer to airport, day-use room until 18:00.
